New Paper for YES! Magazine
For the next two weeks, we will show you some of the climate actions we are taking here at the YES! office in Bainbridge Island, Washington, from individual choices to decisions that affect the whole publication.
YES! was one of the first magazines to print on 100 percent post-consumer recycled paper.
Starting with the fall 2009 issue, we went a step further and switched to a lighter weight paper. Each issue now uses 17 percent less paper, cutting down on the amount of resources it takes to get our magazine to readers.
The difference can be seen, below, when 50 issues of the Summer 2009 The New Economy issue are stacked next to 50 issues of the fall 2009 Learn as You Go issue.
Is your workplace making any decisions in an attempt to lessen environmental impact? Let us know!
