Washington State Permaculture is a resource created by and for the Washington State permaculture community. As permaculture becomes more popular and established in our region, a few of us – longtime and new practitioners alike – have realized that one database and news resource for all things “permacultural” is a niche that needs to be filled.
This is the third annual event, to be held September 17-19 at South Seattle Community College, Seattle, WA. This year the convergence is in the heart of the city; on the 87 acre campus of South Seattle Community College. Workshop sessions will be held throughout the day to explore Residential Renewable Energy and Public Policy with Jeff Gee or Outdoor Mushroom Cultivation and Mycoremediation with Amandine Murphy to name a few. Keynote speaker for this event will be Mark Lakeman, co-founder of Portland, Oregon's amazing urban revitalization organization City Repair.
All participants are encouraged to bring their fresh, homegrown food for all to share during common meals. Or bring local, sustainably-raised food from your favorite local farmer or artisan producer!
