Network of Spiritual Progressives/Tikkun Conference

With an understanding of the political realities President Obama has faced in Washington, DC, this conference seeks to cast both a supportive and critical eye on the Obama Administration's actions to date.

The conference will focus on developing positive ideas and programs for a more just and sustainable economy and society, as well as concrete ideas for building global peace and reconciliation. Other key topics include putting single payer health care back into the national conversation, and discussing a proposed constitutional amendment declaring that corporations are not persons and do not deserve the protections of persons. Additionally, attendees will develop inner resources, both intellectual and spiritual, for the long process of creating transformational social change, including the ability to recognize and rejoice in the goodness and love that makes the process of Tikkun-ing (healing and transforming the world) a joyous and nourishing experience.
