This year's keynote speakers for the World On Your Plate Food Forum include Anna Blythe Lappé -- national bestselling author and sought-after public speaker, respected for her work on sustainability, food politics, globalization, and social change, and Dr. Sandra Steingraber -- ecologist, author, and cancer survivor, and internationally recognized expert on the environmental links to cancer and reproductive health.
In addition to these world-class speakers, the event will have an incredible line up of local experts and resources who will be presenting about 18 workshops during the day, including Buffalo ReUse (Extreme Makeover), Dr. Margaret Mitchell (Healthy Transformations), Michael Schade, Center for Health, Environment & Justice, and workshops ranging from Raw Foods to Food Safety to Raising Chickens at Home.
In past years 400-500 people to attended the event, which includes a Friday night film and dinner, a full day of workshops, speakers and organic lunch on Saturday, and a variety of information tables and resources.
