In the film, host David Brancaccio, of public radio's Marketplace and NOW on PBS, visits people, businesses, and organizations across America who are attempting a revolution: the reinvention of the American economy. Fixing the Future features communities using sustainable and innovative approaches to create jobs and build prosperity. The film highlights effective practices for building local economies, including: community banking, time banking / hour exchanges, worker cooperatives, local business alliances, and local currencies. The film will be followed by an exclusive onscreen discussion panel featuring luminaries Bill McKibben, Majora Carter, Mike Brady and David Brancaccio.
