YES! Magazine is proud to be a national partner for the theatrical release of the inspiring new documentary, Fixing the Future. In the film, host David Brancaccio, of public radio's Marketplace and NOW on PBS, visits people, businesses, and organizations across America who are attempting a revolution: the reinvention of the American economy.
Fixing the Future features communities using sustainable and innovative approaches to create jobs and build prosperity.
The film highlights effective practices for building local economies, including: community banking, time banking / hour exchanges, worker cooperatives, local business alliances, and local currencies.
The event, which is supported in partnership with West Sound Time Bank, Sustainable Bainbridge, and OfficeXpats, will be followed by a reception hosted by OfficeXpats and Sustainable Bainbridge, upstairs in the Pavilion, with light refreshments from local establishments, lively conversation, and the opportunity to learn more about the local versions of programs featured in the film.
