Alperovitz’s emerging “new economy” strategies propose locally-based, bottom-up efforts that democratize wealth and empower communities—changing a faltering system that, says Alperovitz, increasingly fails to sustain the great American values of equality, liberty, and meaningful democracy. Presented as part of the Town Hall Civics series with Elliott Bay Book Company.
