Curriculum & Resources: TED-Ed
TED’s new initiative, TED-Ed, aims to support teachers and spark the curiosity of learners around the world. It matches talented teachers and amazing animators to produce an impressive film library and a platform for turning any video into a customized lesson.
It also introduces you to the newest wave of teaching—flipping. What the flip is flipping? Flipping is when classroom-based teaching time and traditional homework time are reversed or flipped. A teacher provides lessons to be viewed outside of class, which in turn gives teachers more class time to devote to practice and problem solving.
- Browse the video library by series or subject.
- Check out the best flips, like “Caffeine! Bite Sci-zed” and ”Cambridge Ideas: How Many Lightbulbs?”
- Or, better yet—create you own video and lesson!
TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) believes passionately that ideas have the power to change attitude, lives, and ultimately, the world. This underlying philosophy is the driving force behind all of TED's endeavors, including the TED Conferences, TEDx, and TEDBooks.
