Artist Candy Chang stenciled a life-size chalkboard on an abandoned house in New Orleans to bring her own community together. Neighbors shared their dreams, hopes, and fears as they scrawled their answers to "Before I die, I want to ... "
Inspired by Ms. Chang, people from South Africa, Kazakhstan, Japan, and Argentina have built over 100 colorful walls in their neighborhoods across 30 countries. Discuss as a class how well your students know their neighbors. If they had to ask them one question, what would it be?
