The Pira’i

“Pira’i” is Guarani for “minnow”. Even in this landlocked country, our neighbor Kyle Allard has to take a boat to get to his isolated community. The trip takes about 30 minutes and costs 80 cents. Most of us only need buses, bicycles, feet, and the occasional ox-cart to get where we need to go.
