Nestled deep within the coastal mountains of British Columbia the Kitlope is acclaimed as the largest tract of ancient temperate rainforest on earth. Here an elder from the Haisla-Henaaksiala First Nation was kind enough to share some wisdom from his experiences in life. Using a fern frond from the forests alongside Kitlope Lake, he demonstrated the importance of maintaining “center focus” in order to carry one’s self in a balanced way through life.
