The Food Project, Lynn, MA

Jennifer was a 2008 teen participant at The Food Project.

“I got into farming to become more involved in my community. To be honest, it was just about the community. But after I got there, The Food Project showed me how interesting farming actually is, a very different thing than what else was going on. I love harvesting and growing the crops and how you get to see people in the community, no matter where they’re from, get access to fresh, healthy produce.

“Farming with The Food Project opened my eyes to new adventures, such as people I would have never met and food that I would have never known. I actually eat vegetables now, which I had never liked before.”
