Arash Shiva's images give us a glimpse into daily life in Iran: an Iran that our administration would prefer we didn't know about.
“These photographs exhibit a range of life in Iran; the rich and the poor, the majority and minorities, the North and the South, the religious and the secular, the young and old, the chaotic cities, vast suburbs, and peaceful villages.
The people of Iran are known for their hospitality and warmth, and are centered around family. The majority of concerns are around the economy, politicians, and government. They hold a positive view of the US (excluding foreign policy), and Western culture in general, which has merged with the traditional culture to create modern life in Iran.”
