At the final stop of the East Bus, Bethany Lutheran College, riders printed pictures portraying the different ways they had been welcomed along the ride. Some of the pictures portrayed open, hospitable environments, while others portrayed closed doors and closed minds. They brought the pictures to Bethany Lutheran to show them the choice they could make—welcoming the riders onto campus for a day of productive dialogue or closing their doors, hearts, and minds to their offer. Looking at the photos is Randi Reitan, the mother of Jacob Reitan who came up with the idea of the Equality Ride and participated in the first ride in 2006.
