Hi John, I am writing a paper for A Federal Law and the American Indian class. I have found that the Red Lake Nation is not even mentioned when it come to Indiginous people whose land straddles the borders. We have to pass through Canada to get to our back yard, so to speak. I have found that no one here in our government knows what is going on with this issue. How do I go about getting this brought to the proper attention? Homeland Security tells me that this issue is being debated in Congress and to talk to my state reps. Is this a brush off? Who would know? The State Department tells me that there stance is Passports, straight across the board. Everyone has to have one. What would be good resources for info?
PS. I really enjoyed all you had to say on Global warming this past summer in Bemidji MN.
