How to move from what is to what we know to be possible.
Parker Palmer talks about how to find balance between the extremes of a cynical world view that leaves no space for hope or change and an overly optimistic approach that does not recognize the grave challenges we face as such. Both extremes lead to inaction.
Yet when we learn to live in that "tragic gap," we recognize the challenges and are moved to action.
