David Korten: Why We Must Declare Our Independence from Wall Street

Speaking in 2009 at the Green Festival in Seattle, Wash., David Korten introduced his Agenda For a New Economy, and advised that "as the Wall Street economy disintegrates, the communities with the best prospects are those that are declaring their independence from Wall Street, as many communities are already doing."

In his fully revised and updated edition of the book, available this summer, Korten offers new advice on building a local economy through grassroots activism.
