The Evergreen Cooperatives—a network of worker owned cooperatives in Cleveland—strive to include people who would otherwise be excluded in the creation of jobs and access to wealth. The goal goes way beyond just putting people back into a job. After six months, all cooperative employees start contributing to their ownership fund, and the business decisions are driven not by stockholders but by the worker/owners.

Wow. Hearing about The Evergreen Cooperatives and the effort in Cleveland just made my day. This is great!!

I've known about Mondragon for about three decades; to see it being used as model here is about the best news I can think of right now. In all seriousness, I'm thinking about moving to Cleveland to see how I can join in.
