Lynn Nottage’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, Ruined, tells the story of a Mama Nadi, a brothel owner in the war-torn Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Mixed Blood Theatre director Aditi Kapil explains the nuanced emotional terrain of this epic tale. If you can't find Ruined at a playhouse near you, stay tuned–Nottage is currently working on a screenplay adaption.
