Robert Sapolsky: The Uniqueness of Humans

Robert Sapolsky has spent years learning about wild baboons—and from them. In this interesting and often amusing talk, Sapolsky explores the range of human uniqueness compared with other animals. What does it mean that we are not the only species that kills, but the only one that does so in such a detached way as pressing a button to direct a drone across the world?

Robert Sapolsky gave this talk in 2009 at Stanford University, where he is a professor of neurology and biology. He has written several books, such as Why Zebras Don't Get Ulcers: An Updated Guide to Stress, Stress-Related Diseases, and Coping and Monkeyluv: And Other Essays on Our Lives as Animals.
