Inspired by William Bryant Logan's book Dirt: The Ecstatic Skin of Earth, DIRT! The Movie tells the story of what's right under our feet—the living organic matter on which life depends. 

From its role in agriculture and clean water to its potential for shelter and ability to regulate climate, dirt is an important natural resource. It's also one of the most ignored and abused.

DIRT! The Movie, directed and produced by Bill Benenson and Gene Rosow and narrated by Jamie Lee Curtis, tells the story of the consequences of abusing the earth's soil and offers an alternative vision of the mutually beneficial relationship humans can develop with dirt.
