Riding Bikes with the Dutch, photo stillThe Dutch have spent 35 years perfecting the country's bicycling infrastructure, and now bikers total 27 percent of transit.

So how does a bike-friendly city differ from one made for cars? Filmmaker Michal W. Bauch shows the difference between the clogged streets of his home in Los Angeles and the bike boulevards of Amsterdam.

This video is a trailer for Riding Bikes With the Dutch, in which Bauch chronicles his family’s adventure swapping homes with a family in Amsterdam.

Video created by Michael W. Bauch at Everyday Bike.
