Protecting our home rivers and waters.

Together we are an unstoppable force for the protection of our home rivers and waters. And River Rally is the place where the movement grows and strengthens!

Grab your co-worker, board member, spouse and/or loved-one(s) and
join with hundreds of the most effective innovators in watershed
protection for a truly amazing experience.

River Rally provides an unparalleled opportunity for concentrated
and focused learning, extensive networking, and the inspiration and
celebration you need to recharge.

This year’s River Rally also focuses on two critical “bridge
building” strategies: 1) creating stronger connections to federal
agencies (EPA, USGS, NOAA, US Fish & Wildlife, National Park
Service, USDA, US Forest Service, etc) that can now offer a host of new
technical resources, funding and policy/management changes to local
groups, and 2) building closer relationships with different
constituencies like land groups, environmental justice organizations and others who have a similar stake in clean, abundant water.

Of course, spending time in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains is a
nice perk too. Utah has 11,000 miles of fishing streams and 147,000
acres of lakes and reservoirs, plus glorious
mountains, spectacular canyons and natural arches galore. Plan to stay a few extra days to explore all that the Beehive State has to offer.

Intensive sessions; Field trips; Office hours with potential
funders and in-person conversations with leaders in the new
administration; the National River Heroes Banquet; River Idol, music jams, Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival; a gorgeous setting...what are you waiting for? Register Today!

Developing proposals and actions for addressing climate change.

The Plurinational State of Bolivia will host an historic conference
on climate change in April with an expected attendance of more than
10,000 people along with government representatives from more than 50
countries. Many more people are expected to participate via the
Internet and in campaign actions on the final day of the conference, 22
April which marks UN Mother Earth Day. Among
the confirmed speakers are NASA scientist Jim Hansen; environmental journalist and leader of 350.org, Bill McKibben; Indian environmentalist
Vandana Shiva; Uruguayan writer Eduardo Galeano; Miguel D’Escoto,
former President of UN General Assembly; American actor, director and
activist Danny Glover; along with leaders from leading environmental
organizations and communities at the front line of climate change.

Bolivia has invited all 192 governments in the UN to attend the
conference and is working closely with the United Nations Development
Program to bring representatives from nearly all the 49 Least Developed
Countries (LDCs), whose populations will be most vulnerable to climate
change. Spain, Russia and France have also indicated that they will
send representatives and others are still confirming.

The conference was announced by President Evo Morales of Bolivia in
the aftermath of the widely denounced outcomes of the Copenhagen UNFCCC
conference in December 2009. The aim of the Peoples’ World Conference
on Climate Change is to advance an agenda led by civil society
organizations and in dialogue with proactive governments dedicated to
preventing climate change. The conference aims to analyze the
structural causes of climate change, and develop specific proposals and
actions for addressing it.

All media and journalists are warmly encouraged to come to Bolivia
to cover this event. Registration is free and can be done at the
conference website at http://cmpcc.org (Spanish) or
