<p><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qF6fVqaGyZc">Karen Armstrong</a>, 2008 TED Prize Winner and creator of the <a href="http://www.charterforcompassion.org/">Charter for Compassion</a>,
 is returning to Seattle to acknowledge our leadership in launching a 
world-wide movement of “compassionate cities” while challenging us to 
raise the bar in promoting a just economy and a peaceful world. &nbsp;</p>
<p>Be a part of a community-wide response to this year’s TED Prize competition: <a href="http://www.tedprize.org/the-city-2-0/">City 2.0: “Dream Me. Build Me. Make Me Real.”</a>&nbsp; Your voice matters!</p>
<p>The evening will also inaugurate a new non-profit, <a href="http://www.compassionateseattle.org/">Compassionate Seattle</a>, which is honored to give the first annual Compassionate Leadership award to Rick Williams and others for leading the <a href="http://www.facebook.com/Totem.Pole.Project">John T Williams Memorial Totem Pole Project</a>.</p>
<p>The <a href="http://www.compassionateseattle.org/">Seattle Heart Map</a>, a public information resource published by&nbsp;<a href="http://www.compassionateseattle.org/" target="_blank">Compassionate Seattle</a>
 will also be unveiled. The map visualizes connections between 
individuals, groups and organizations committed to creating a just and 
prosperous region; come and add yourself to the map!</p>
