Traveling in South and Central America

I'll be traveling in South and Central America from Oct. 12 through Jan. 7. I hope to learn about the changes resulting from the increasingly powerful social movements in Latin America and the new political leadership. In particular, I'm interested in reporting that will contribute to a planned issue of YES! on "A New Vision for the Americas."

My plan is as follows:

Oct. 12-17: Border Social Forum, Cuidad Juarez, Mexico

Oct. 17-Nov. 11: Bolivia

Nov.11-24: Chile

Nov. 24-Dec. 6: Venezuela

Dec 6 -17: Cuba

Dec. 17-Jan. 7: Guatemala

While I'm on the road, Doug Pibel, with the help of Lisa Farina and Carol Estes and art director Tracy Dunn will be compiling the next issue of YES!
