YES! Co-founder and Executive Editor Sarah van Gelder will be introducing Gar at this event!

Alperovitz’s emerging “new economy” strategies propose locally-based, bottom-up efforts that democratize wealth and empower communities—changing a faltering system that, says Alperovitz, increasingly fails to sustain the great American values of equality, liberty, and meaningful democracy. Presented as part of the Town Hall Civics series with Elliott Bay Book Company.

Tickets are $5 at or 888/377-4510 and at the door beginning at 6:30 pm. Town Hall members receive priority seating. Downstairs at Town Hall; enter on Seneca Street.

WATCH THE FIRST PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE AT TOWN HALL BEFORE THE EVENT! Debate airs at 6pm, admission is free until 6:30pm (reservations recommended).
