Clawing Back Public Protections of Our Land, Air, and Climate
The environmental organization Center for Biological Diversity has filed a lawsuit against several federal agencies over President Donald Trump’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The suit is the first of its kind and is aimed at protecting government-funded environmental work including climate research and protecting public lands.Â
Brett Hartl, coordinator of the Center’s work on federal legislative issues affecting endangered species, public lands, oceans, climate and energy, spoke with YES! Senior Editor Sonali Kolhatkar on YES! Presents: Rising Up With Sonali about the lawsuit and why it is necessary.
