Jay A. Irwin

has a PhD is in Medical Sociology, and his research examines LGBTQ+ health, specifically the health of lesbians and transgender people. His dissertation focused on the experience of stress and discrimination among lesbians in the Southeastern United States. His most recent work includes a statewide survey on the health of LGBTQ+ people living in Nebraska, the experience of being trans people living in Nebraska in relation to localized gender norms, and leadership development of LGBTQ+ young professionals.
