Emily Guendelsberger

was a reporter who took a pre-Christmas job at an Amazon fulfillment center outside Louisville, Kentucky. Her book, “On the Clock: What Low-Wage Work Did to Me and How It Drives America Insane,” is based on her experience working there, at a call center in North Carolina, and at a McDonald’s in San Francisco.
