Jonathan P. Higgins, also known as DoctorJonPaul, is a writer, educator, and thought leader who examines the intersections of identity, gender, and race in entertainment. Their work has been featured on sites such as Essence, Ebony, Complex, MTV News, Out Magazine, BET, and Paper Mag. They are the creator, executive producer, and host of the BlackFatFemme Podcast.
Sari Botton is the author of the memoir in essays And You May Find Yourself…: Confessions of a Late-Blooming Gen-X Weirdo. She edited the bestselling anthology Goodbye to All That: Writers on Loving and Leaving New York and publishes Oldster Magazine.

Astra Marie teamed up with artist/stylist Nneka Gigi and creative director/editor Zachary Bxllion for this body-positive project. Marie shared the cover photo on Instagram with the caption “I used to think I wasn’t beautiful.” When Astra saw this photo, she said, “I never understood how beautiful I was until that moment was captured. I saw the full image of my body and how beautiful my rolls stacked, my dark brown skin still shining, even in black and white. I got stuck when looking into my eyes, and my expression was so powerful yet soft and fierce. I’m all over beautiful.”
Cheanie Noai is a Kaqchikel Maya multidisciplinary creative. Together, her family stewards a 100-acre conservation easement in northwest Arkansas, where Noai works as the graphic design and brand manager for her local regional theater. Noai also offers consultations for artistic direction and branding and has been a featured artist for Bitch Media, Life As Ceremony, and Latinx Parenting, among others.
Y.Zin Kim is one of the best-known commercial photographers in Korea for entertainment media. She holds records as the first female sidemount underwater cave diver in Asia and is an instructor trainer with Technical Diving International, the largest diving technical certification agency in the world. Kim has also delivered talks for TEDx Youth and Adobe Creative.
